Keeping in Touch

I’m not very good at keeping in touch. I don’t tend to do it. Which means that, when I do do it, I never know what to say.

So I just spent about a half hour on an email to a former colleague of mine, just to say hi. It took me that long because I had to actually think about it. “Hmm”, I was thinking. “What do people write, when they compose a ‘hi, how are you doing’ type of email?” So I put a bunch of thought into it, trying to let her know how I’m doing, but at the same time not write a novel, which might overwhelm her.

Finally, I got it just right, and clicked send. Only to be told by Hotmail that her email address isn’t valid anymore.
